The Names
It was time to name each model, and we decided to season our work with some of the love for this land: at the end of the day, these are Italian handmade speakers, or, even better, Piedmontese handmade speakers.
So, the brand itself comes from the ancient language of these surroundings (please don’t call it dialect, Piedmontese is a language!), whose first written tracks go back to some monk writings in the 10Th century.
V&A stays for “Varda e Ascuta”, which can be translated in “Look and Listen”: a loudspeaker is made to be listened to, of course, but it will spend great part of the time remaining silent, so it has to be appreciated also at first glance.
Each model has a name with specific recall and meanings in our language, and we hope you’ll find the descriptions amusing.
